✧ When God willed to teach His Messenger the adhan, Jibril (peace be upon them) came to him with a mount called al-Buraq. He went to mount it, but it became restless. Jibril said to it: "Be still, for by God, no servant more honored by God than Muhammad ﷺ has ever ridden you." He said: "So he rode it until he reached the veil that is next to the Most Merciful, Blessed and Exalted." He said: "While he was thus, an angel came out from the veil. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'O Jibril, who is this?' He said: 'By the One who sent you with the truth, I am the closest of creation in position, and I have not seen this angel since I was created before this very hour.' The angel said: 'God is greatest, God is greatest.' It was said to him from behind the veil: 'My servant has spoken the truth; I am greatest, I am greatest.' Then the angel said: 'I bear witness that there is no god but God.' It was said to him from behind the veil: 'My servant has spoken the truth; I am, there is no god but Me.' The angel said: 'I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God.' It was said from behind the veil: 'My servant has spoken the truth; I sent Muhammad.' The angel said: 'Come to prayer, come to success, the prayer has been established.' Then the angel said: 'God is greatest, God is greatest.' It was said from behind the veil: 'My servant has spoken the truth; I am greatest, I am greatest.' Then he said: 'There is no god but God.' It was said from behind the veil: 'My servant has spoken the truth; there is no god but Me.' Then the angel took Muhammad ﷺ by the hand and brought him forward, and the people of heaven—among them Adam and Nuh—were concerned."
