حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: نَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ:
إِنَّمَا صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ لِأَنَّهُ جَاءَهُ مَالٌ فَقَسَّمَهُ فَشَغَلَهُ عَنِ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الظُّهْرِ فَصَلَّاهُمَا بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ وَلَمْ يَعُدْ لَهُمَا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed the two rakʿahs after ʿAṣr only because wealth came to him and he distributed it, and it distracted him from the two rakʿahs after Ẓuhr, so he prayed them after ʿAṣr, and he did not repeat them.
