حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى السَّامِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا هِشَامٌ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَسَّانَ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

كَانَ إِذَا قَالَ: سَمِعَ اللهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ مِلْءَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمِلْءَ الْأَرْضِ وَمِلْءَ مَا شِئْتَ مِنْ شَيْءٍ بَعْدُ

✧ When he said: 'Sami'a Allahu liman hamidah,' he would say: 'Allahumma Rabbana laka al-hamd, mil'a al-samawati wa mil'a al-ardi wa mil'a ma shi'ta min shay'in ba'du' (O Allah, our Lord, to You is praise, filling the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever You will after that).
