حَدَّثَنَا عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ وَالسَّكَنُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالُوا: نَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَيْسَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ:

بَعَثَنِي الْعَبَّاسُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِ مَيْمُونَةَ خَالَتِي فَبِتُّ مَعَهُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، فَقُمْتُ فَتَوَضَّأْتُ وَقُمْتُ عَنْ شِمَالِهِ، فَتَنَاوَلَنِي مِنْ خَلْفِ ظَهْرِهِ فَجَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

✧ Al-'Abbas sent me to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in the house of Maymunah, my maternal aunt. I spent that night with him. He got up to pray during the night, so I got up, performed ablution, and stood on his left. He took hold of me from behind his back and placed me on his right.
