✧ “O Buraydah, when it is the time for you to begin the prayer, say: ‘Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. There is no power and no strength except with Allah. There is no god but You, alone, with no partner. Blessed is Your name and exalted is Your majesty, and there is no god other than You. I have wronged myself, so forgive me; none forgives sins except You.’ Then recite whatever of the Qurʾan is easy for you. Then bow and say: ‘Glory be to my Lord the Magnificent’ three times. When you rise from bowing, say: ‘Allah hears the one who praises Him. O Allah, our Lord, to You belongs praise, filling the heavens and filling the earth and filling whatever else You will.’ When you prostrate, say: ‘Glory be to my Lord the Most High’ three times. My face has prostrated to the One who created it and gave it hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah, the best of creators. When you rise from prostration, say: ‘My Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, and provide for me. I am truly in need of whatever good You send down to me.’ When you sit in your prayer, do not neglect in the tashahhud: ‘There is no god but Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah,’ and to send blessings upon me and upon all the prophets of Allah, and to greet the righteous servants of Allah.”
