✧ What Fadalah b. 'Ubayd narrated from Abu al-Darda

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَانِي، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ، قَالَ: نَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ؓ قَالَ:

كُنَّا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي سَفَرٍ وَإِنَّ أَحَدَنَا لَيَضَعُ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ، فَمَا مِنَّا صَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ رَوَاحَةَ

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ on a journey, and one of us would place his hand on his head due to the intense heat, and none of us was fasting except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and ʿAbdullāh b. Rawāḥah.
