حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمِسْعَرِيُّ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَفِينَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ؓ

" أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ تَعَبَّدَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ، وَاعْتَزَلَ النِّسَاءَ حَتَّى صَارَ كَأَنَّهُ شَنٌّ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ devoted himself to worship before his death, and he kept away from women until he became like a worn-out waterskin.
