✧ He used to have nabidh made for him in a green earthenware jar. Abu Barzah returned from an absence and came first to the house of Abu Bakrah, but did not find him at home. He stood by his wife and asked her about Abu Bakrah, and she informed him. Then he noticed the jar containing the nabidh and said: 'What is in this jar?' She replied: 'Nabidh for Abu Bakrah.' He said: 'I wish you had put it in a waterskin.' Then he left. So she ordered that nabidh to be put into a waterskin. Then Abu Bakrah came and she told him about Abu Barzah al-Aslami. He said: 'What is in this waterskin?' She said: 'Abu Barzah instructed us to put your nabidh in it.' He said: 'I will not drink from what is in it. If wine is put in a waterskin, would it become lawful for me? And if honey is put in a jar, would it become unlawful for me? We have already learned what we were prohibited from. We were prohibited from dubba', hantam, naqir, and muzaffat.'
