حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، قَالَا: نَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ دُكَيْنٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْهَجَنَّعِ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ:

قِيلَ: مَا يَمْنَعُكَ أَنْ لَا تَكُونَ قَاتَلْتَ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ ؟ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: يَخْرُجُ قَوْمٌ هَلْكَى لَا يُفْلِحُونَ، قَائِدُهُمُ امْرَأَةٌ، قَائِدُهُمْ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

✧ It was said to him: 'What prevents you from having fought on the Day of the Camel?' He said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "A people will emerge who are ruined and will not succeed; their leader is a woman, and their leader will be in Paradise." '
