Chain of narrators
  1. Ismāʿīl b. Abū al-Ḥārith
  2. Shabābah

✧ Shu'ba narrated to us, from Qatada, from Salim, from Ma'dan, from 'Umar similarly. We do not know that Ma'dan narrated from 'Umar except this hadith, and its chain is sound. It has been narrated from the Prophet ﷺ regarding the dislike of garlic and onions through several routes: Ma'qil b. Yasar, Jabir b. 'Abdullah, Abu Hurayra, Anas b. Malik, and al-Mughira b. Shu'ba narrated that. We have mentioned it from 'Umar alone.
