✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood in Makkah presenting himself to the tribes of the Arabs, tribe by tribe, during the season of pilgrimage, finding no one to respond to what he called them to until this clan of the Anṣār came to him—for Allah granted them felicity and brought them honor—and they gave him refuge and supported him. May Allah reward them well on behalf of their Prophet. By Allah, we have not fulfilled for them what we pledged to them. We said to them: We are the rulers and you are the ministers. And if I live until the beginning of next year, no governor of mine will remain except an Anṣārī.
