✧ The two sons of Mulaykah al-Ju'fi came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: Our mother used to honor her husband and show affection to her children — and they mentioned affection — except that she buried an infant alive in the Jahiliyyah. He said: "Your mother is in the Fire." They turned away with evil visible in their faces. Then he ordered them to be brought back, and joy could be seen in their faces. He said: "My mother is with your mother." A man from the hypocrites said: This does not benefit his father or his parents at all, while we are treading on his heels. A man from the Ansar said: I have not seen anyone who asked more questions — I think he said: O Messenger of Allah, has your Lord promised you regarding her or them? He thought it was something he had heard. He said: "I did not ask my Lord, nor did He make me covet, but I will stand at the Praised Station on the Day of Resurrection." The man said: O Messenger of Allah, what is the Praised Station? He said: "That is when you are brought naked" — I think he said: "barefoot. The first to be clothed will be Ibrahim, the Friend of Allah. He will say: Clothe him, and he will be clothed with two white garments, which he will put on. Then he will stand facing the Throne. Then my clothing will be brought, and I will put it on, and I will stand to his right in a position no one but me will stand, for which the first and the last will envy me." He said: "And a river from al-Kawthar will be opened to the Basin." The hypocrite said: Water rarely flows except over pebbles or smooth stones. He said: O Messenger of Allah, over pebbles or smooth stones? He said: "Its pebbles are musk, and its smooth stones are pearls." The hypocrite said: I have not heard the like of today, for water rarely flows over pebbles or smooth stones without having vegetation. The Ansari said: Does it have vegetation? He said: "Yes, stalks of gold." The hypocrite said: I have not heard the like of today, for a stalk rarely grows without bearing leaves and fruit. The Ansari said: O Messenger of Allah, does it have fruit? He said: "Yes, colors of jewels, and its water is whiter than milk and sweeter than honey. Whoever drinks a drink from it will never thirst again, and whoever is deprived of it will never be quenched."
