حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ: نَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ، مِنْ أَهْلِ الطَّائِفِ عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" لَا يَغْلِبَنَّكُمُ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ الْعِشَاءُ، وَإِنَّمَا سَمَّتْهَا الْأَعْرَابُ الْعَتَمَةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ إِبِلِهِمْ لِحِلَابِهَا

✧ Do not let the bedouins overcome you regarding the name of your prayer, for in the Book of Allah it is al-'Isha', but the bedouins called it al-'Atamah because of their camels and their milking.
