حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَتْنِي عَمْرَةُ، أَنَّهَا سَمِعَتْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:

خَرَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِخَمْسٍ بَقِينَ مِنْ ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ لَا نَرَى إِلَّا الْحَجَّ حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَوْنَا مِنْ مَكَّةَ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ مَعَهُ هَدْيٌ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ أَنْ يَحِلَّ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ بِلَحْمٍ فَقُلْتُ: مَا هَذَا ؟ فَقِيلَ: ذَبَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نِسَائِهِ الْبَقَرَ

Translation

✧ We set out with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with five nights remaining of Dhu al-Qa'dah, intending only Hajj. When we approached Makkah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ commanded those who did not have a sacrificial animal to exit ihram after circumambulating the House. On the Day of Sacrifice, meat was brought to us. I said, "What is this?" It was said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ slaughtered cows on behalf of his wives."
