أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ، أَنْبَأَ سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ:
لَمَّا مَاتَ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ اجْتَمَعَ نِسْوَةُ بَنِي الْمُغِيرَةِ يَبْكِينَ عَلَيْهِ، فَقِيلَ لِعُمَرَ ؓ: أَرْسِلْ إِلَيْهِنَّ فَإِنَّهُنَّ لَا يَبْلُغُكَ عَنْهُنَّ شَيْءٌ تَكْرَهُ، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: مَا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَنْ يُهْرِقْنَ دُمُوعَهُنَّ عَلَى أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ نَقْعٌ أَوْ لَقْلَقَةٌ
