أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ الرِّيَاشِيُّ، ثَنَا الْأَصْمَعِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي وَجْزَةَ السَّعْدِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:
خَرَجَ عُمَرَ ؓ يَسْتَسْقِي، فَجَعَلَ لَا يَزِيدُ عَلَى الِاسْتِغْفَارِ، فَقُلْتُ: أَلَا يَتَكَلَّمُ لِمَا خَرَجَ لَهُ، وَلَا أَعْلَمُ أَنَّ الِاسْتِسْقَاءَ هُوَ الِاسْتِغْفَارُ، فَمُطِرْنَا
