That a man stood [in prayer] in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and recited «Say: He is Allah, One» the entire surah, repeating it and adding nothing to it. He said: When morning came, a man said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: O Messenger of Allah, a man stood during the night reciting at the last part of the night «Say: He is Allah, One. Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, nor is there to Him any equivalent», repeating it and adding nothing to it, as if the man considered it little. He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "By Him in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, it is equal to a third of the Qur'an" - Sūrat al-Ikhlāṣ.

machine translationMālik b. Anas narrates it from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah, and there is disagreement about it from him. Al-Qaʿnabī, Maʿn, Abū Muṣʿab and the other transmitters of the Muwaṭṭaʾ narrated it from Mālik, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah, from his father, from Abū Saʿīd. Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar, Abū Ṣafwān al-Umawī ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd b. ʿAbd al-Malik b. Marwān, and ʿAbbād b. Ṣuhayb differed from them, and narrated it from Mālik, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. ʿAbdullāh, from his father, from Abū Saʿīd, from his brother Qatādah b. al-Nuʿmān, from the Prophet ﷺ. They also differed regarding Mālik about the name of Ibn Abī Ṣaʿṣaʿah; the correct statement is that of Abū Maʿmar al-Quṭaʿī from Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar, and it is the right one.
