( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُبْدُوسٍ، ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ

فِي قِصَّةِ مَقْتَلِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ: فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ، وَجَاءَ النَّاسُ يُثْنُونَ عَلَيْهِ، وَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ شَابٌّ، فَقَالَ: أَبْشِرْ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، بِبُشْرَى اللهِ لَكَ مِنْ صُحْبَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ - ﷺ، وَقِدَمٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ مَا قَدْ عَلِمْتَ، ثُمَّ وَلِيتَ فَعَدَلْتَ، ثُمَّ الشَّهَادَةُ. قَالَ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، وَدِدْتُ أَنَّ ذَلِكَ كَفَافٌ، لَا عَلَيَّ وَلَا لِيَ، فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ إِذَا إِزَارُهُ يَمَسُّ الْأَرْضَ، فَقَالَ: رُدُّوا عَلَيَّ الْغُلَامَ. قَالَ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، ارْفَعْ ثَوْبَكَ، فَإِنَّهُ أَنْقَى لِثَوْبِكَ، وَأَتْقَى لِرَبِّكَ
