( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرٍ، أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، ثَنَا يُونُسُ، ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا هِشَامٌ، ثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ:

الْعِرَافَةُ أَوَّلُهَا مَلَامَةٌ، وَآخِرُهَا نَدَامَةٌ، وَالْعَذَابُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ. قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، إِلَّا مَنِ اتَّقَى اللهَ مِنْهُمْ. قَالَ: إِنَّمَا أُحَدِّثُكَ كَمَا سَمِعْتُ.
