أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْكَارِزِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ: ثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي مَسْرُوقٌ:

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الشُّعُوبِ أَسْلَمَ، فَكَانَتْ تُؤْخَذُ مِنْهُ الْجِزْيَةُ، فَأَتَى عُمَرَ ؓ فَأَخْبَرَهُ، فَكَتَبَ أَنْ لَا يُؤْخَذَ مِنْهُ الْجِزْيَةُ
