( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: جَنَاحُ بْنُ نَذِيرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ الْقَاضِي بِالْكُوفَةِ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، أَنْبَأَ مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، أَنْبَأَ شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ قَالَ:

انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى أَبِي جَهْلٍ وَهُوَ فِي الْقَتْلَى صَرِيعٌ وَمَعِي سَيْفٌ رَثٌّ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَضْرِبُهُ بِسَيْفِي فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْ شَيْئًا، قَالَ: وَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ فَقَالَ: أَرُوَيْعِينَا بِمَكَّةَ ؟ فَوَقَعَ سَيْفُهُ، فَأَخَذْتُهُ فَضَرَبْتُهُ بِهِ حَتَّى قَتَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ أَشْتَدُّ حَتَّى أَخْبَرْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " أَنْتَ قَتَلْتَهُ ؟ " قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ. حَتَّى اسْتَحْلَفَنِي ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَحَلَفْتُ لَهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: " انْطَلِقْ فَأَرِنِيهِ ". فَانْطَلَقَ فَأَرَيْتُهُ إِيَّاهُ، فَقَالَ: كَانَ هَذَا فِرْعَوْنَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ
