( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو نَصْرٍ: عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْفَضْلِ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خَمِيرَوَيْهِ، أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ بَرَاءِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ قَالَ:

لَقِيتُ يَوْمَ مُسَيْلِمَةَ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ: حِمَارُ الْيَمَامَةِ، رَجُلًا جَسِيمًا بِيَدِهِ سَيْفٌ أَبْيَضُ فَضَرَبْتُ رِجْلَيْهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا أَخْطَأْتُهُ، فَانْقَعَرَ فَوَقَعَ عَلَى قَفَاهُ، فَأَخَذْتُ سَيْفَهُ وَأَغْمَدْتُ سَيْفِي، فَمَا ضَرَبْتُ بِهِ إِلَّا ضَرْبَةً حَتَّى انْقَطَعَ، فَأَلْقَيْتُهُ وَأَخَذْتُ سَيْفِي
