The Quraysh were concerned about the matter of the woman who stole during the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the campaign of the Conquest. Then he mentioned the meaning of the hadith of al-Layth, and added: Then that woman who had stolen was brought, and her hand was cut off. Yūnus said: Ibn Shihāb said: ʿUrwah said: ʿĀʾishah ؓ said: Her repentance afterwards was good, and she married. Afterwards she used to come to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I would present her need to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
