( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، وَكَانَ غَزَا عَلَى عَهْدِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ سَبْعَ غَزَوَاتٍ، قَالَ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ. قَالَ:
فَلَمَّا رَجَعْنَا تَخَلَّفَ عَبْدٌ مِنْ عَبِيدِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَكَتَبَ لَهُمْ أَمَانًا فِي صَحِيفَةٍ فَرَمَاهُ إِلَيْهِمْ، قَالَ: فَكَتَبْنَا إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَكَتَبَ عُمَرُ: إِنَّ عَبْدَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، ذِمَّتُهُ ذِمَّتُهُمْ، فَأَجَازَ عُمَرُ ؓ أَمَانَهُ
