Salamah b. Ṣakhr al-Bayāḍī declared his wife to be like his mother's back to him if he approached her, until Ramadan had passed. When half of Ramadan had passed, the woman grew plump and sat cross-legged, and she pleased him, so he approached her at night. Then he came to the Prophet ﷺ and mentioned that to him. He said: "Free a slave." He said: "I cannot find one." He said: "Fast two consecutive months." He said: "I am not able to." He said: "Feed sixty poor people." He said: "I cannot find the means." He said: Then a large basket containing fifteen ṣāʿs or sixteen ṣāʿs was brought to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "Give this in charity to sixty poor people."
