أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ فُورَكَ، أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، نَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُسْلِيِّ، عَنِ الْأَشْعَثِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ:
ضِفْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ لِي: يَا أَشْعَثُ احْفَظْ عَنِّي ثَلَاثًا حَفِظْتُهُنَّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لَا تَسْأَلِ الرَّجُلَ فِيمَ ضَرَبَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَلَا تَنَامَنَّ إِلَّا عَلَى وِتْرٍ وَنَسِيتُ الثَّالِثَةَ
