( حَدَّثَنَاهُ ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ إِمْلَاءً أَنْبَأَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّيْلِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ الصَّائِغُ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْأَصَمُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ السُّدِّيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ قَالَ:
لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو طَالِبٍ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ عَمَّكَ الشَّيْخَ قَدْ مَاتَ، فَقَالَ لِي: اذْهَبْ فَوَارِهِ، ثُمَّ لَا تُحْدِثْ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَأْتِيَنِي. فَاغْتَسَلْتُ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُ، فَدَعَا لِي بِدَعَوَاتٍ مَا يَسُرُّنِي بِهَا حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ

Abī al-ʿAbbās, from al-Ḥasan b. Yazīd, from al-Suddī, from Saʿd b. ʿUbaydah, from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, from ʿAlī, adding Saʿd b. ʿUbaydah in it. This is an error (wahm), and the first version is more correct.
