بَعَثَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَعْمَرٍ وَكَانَ يَخْطُبُ ابْنَةَ شَيْبَةَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَلَى ابْنِهِ، فَأَرْسَلَنِي إِلَى أَبَانَ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، وَهُوَ عَلَى الْمَوْسِمِ فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُرَاهُ أَعْرَابِيًّا، إِنَّ الْمُحْرِمَ لَا يَنْكِحُ وَلَا يُنْكِحُ
