( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ بْنُ عَبْدَانَ، أَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَجْفَاءِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ:
خَطَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَقَالَ: وَأُخْرَى تَقُولُونَهَا لِمَنْ قُتِلَ فِي مَغَازِيكُمْ هَذِهِ، أَوْ مَاتَ، قُتِلَ فُلَانٌ شَهِيدًا، وَلَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يَكُونَ قَدْ أَوْقَرَ دَفَّتَيْ رَاحِلَتِهِ ذَهَبًا أَوْ وَرِقًا، يَبْتَغِي بِهِ الدُّنْيَا، - أَوْ قَالَ: التِّجَارَةَ - فَلَا تَقُولُوا ذَاكُمْ، وَلَكِنْ قُولُوا كَمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَنْ قُتِلَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ أَوْ مَاتَ فَهُوَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ.
