I had a she-camel from my share of the spoils on the day of Badr, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had given me another she-camel from the fifth (khumus) on that same day. When I wanted to consummate my marriage with Fāṭimah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I arranged with a goldsmith from Banū Qaynuqāʿ that he would travel with me and we would bring back idhkhir grass, which I wanted to sell to the goldsmiths and use to help pay for my wedding feast.
