( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثَنَا مُعَرِّفُ بْنُ وَاصِلٍ، ثَنَا مُحَارِبُ بْنُ دِثَارٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ:
رُدُّوا الْخُصُومَ لَعَلَّهُمْ أَنْ يَصْطَلِحُوا فَإِنَّهُ أَبْرَأُ لِلصِّدْقِ وَأَقَلُّ لِلْحِنَاتِ
