حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمْ خَادِمُهُ بِطَعَامِهِ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يُجْلِسْهُ مَعَهُ فَلْيُنَاوِلْهُ أُكْلَةً أَوْ أُكْلَتَيْنِ أَوْ لُقْمَةً أَوْ لُقْمَتَيْنِ شُعْبَةُ شَكَّ فَإِنَّهُ وَلِيَ عِلَاجَهُ وَحَرَّهُ.

Translation

✧ When one of you is brought food by his servant, if he does not seat him with him, let him give him a morsel or two, or a bite or two — Shu'bah was uncertain — for he has endured its preparation and its heat.
