حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

لِلْمُسْلِمِ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِ مِنَ الْمَعْرُوفِ سِتٌّ: يُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِ إِذَا لَقِيَهُ، وَيُشَمِّتُهُ إِذَا عَطَسَ، وَيَعُودُهُ إِذَا مَرِضَ، وَيُجِيبُهُ إِذَا دَعَاهُ، وَيَشْهَدُهُ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ، وَيُحِبُّ لَهُ مَا يُحِبُّ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَيَنْصَحُ لَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ

Translation

✧ A Muslim owes another Muslim six acts of kindness: he greets him with salam when he meets him, responds to his sneeze, visits him when he is ill, answers his invitation, attends his funeral, and loves for him what he loves for himself, and advises him sincerely in his absence.
