Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ stood at Arafah while Usamah b. Zayd was riding behind him, and said: This is the standing place, and all of Arafah is a standing place. Then he moved on at a brisk pace, and the people began striking right and left, while he turned and said: Calmness, O people; calmness, O people, until he came to Muzdalifah and combined the two prayers. Then he stood at Muzdalifah, stood at Quzah, and mounted al-Fadl b. Abbas behind him, and said: This is the standing place, and all of Muzdalifah is a standing place. Then he moved on, traveling at a brisk pace, and the people were striking right and left, while he turned and said: Calmness, calmness, O people, until he came to Muhassir, then he tapped his riding camel and she trotted until he exited, then he resumed his earlier pace until he threw pebbles at the Jamrah. Then he came to the place of sacrifice and said: This is the place of sacrifice, and all of Mina is a place of sacrifice. Then a young woman from Khath'am came to him and said: My father is an old man who has become senile, and the obligation of Allah in Hajj has reached him, but he cannot perform it. Will it suffice for him if I perform it on his behalf? The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Yes, and he began turning the face of al-Fadl b. Abbas away from her. Then a man came to him and said: I threw pebbles, did the Ifadah, and put on my clothes, but I did not shave. He said: There is no harm; shave. Then another man came to him and said: I threw pebbles, shaved, and put on my clothes, but I did not sacrifice. He said: There is no harm; sacrifice. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ departed, called for a bucket of Zamzam water, drank from it, performed ablution, and said: Draw water, O Banu Abd al-Muttalib; were it not that you would be overpowered over it, I would draw water myself. Al-Abbas said: O Messenger of Allah, I saw you turning the face of your nephew. He said: I saw a young boy and a young girl, and I feared Satan for them.
