حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ قَالَرَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَقُلْتُ تَمْشِي؟ فَقَالَ

رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَمْشِي بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ فَقُلْتُ: تَمْشِي ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنْ أَمْشِي فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَمْشِي، وَإِنْ أَسْعَى فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَسْعَى

✧ I saw Ibn Umar walking between al-Safa and al-Marwa, so I said: You are walking? He said: If I walk, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ walking; and if I hasten, I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ hastening.
