Translation

✧ I had a wife whom I loved, and ‘Umar disliked her. He ordered me to divorce her, but I refused. He came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: “O Messenger of God, ‘Abd Allah b. ‘Umar has a wife whom I dislike for him, and I ordered him to divorce her, but he refused.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said to me: “O ‘Abd Allah, divorce your wife.” So I divorced her.
