✧ He called for water, performed wudu, rinsed his mouth and nose, then washed his face three times and his forearms three times each, wiped his head and the top of his feet, then laughed and said to his companions: Will you not ask me what made me laugh? They said: What made you laugh, O Commander of the Faithful? He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ call for water near this spot, perform wudu as I performed wudu, then laugh and say: Will you not ask me what made me laugh? They said: What made you laugh, O Messenger of Allah? He said: When a servant calls for water for wudu and washes his face, Allah removes from him every sin he committed with his face. When he washes his forearms, it is likewise. When he wipes his head, it is likewise. When he purifies his feet, it is likewise. [And when he wipes the top of his foot, it is likewise].
