حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍعَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ
كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَيْلَةَ لَقِيَ الْجِنَّ فَقَالَ: أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ؟ فَقُلْتُ: لَا فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا فِي الْإِدَاوَةِ ؟ قُلْتُ: نَبِيذٌ قَالَ: أَرِنِيهَا تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ، وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ، فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِنَا.

✧ I was with the Prophet ﷺ on the night he met the jinn. He said: 'Do you have any water with you?' I said: 'No.' He said: 'What is this in the waterskin?' I said: 'Nabīdh.' He said: 'Show it to me. It is a good date and purifying water.' So he performed ablution from it, then led us in prayer.
