✧ “Let no one convey to me anything about any of my Companions, for I love to come out to you with a sound heart.” He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ received some wealth and divided it. He said: I passed by two men, one of them saying to his companion, “By Allah, Muḥammad did not intend by his division the face of Allah nor the abode of the Hereafter.” I paused until I heard what they said, then I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, you told us, ‘Let no one convey to me anything about any of my Companions,’ but I passed by so-and-so and so-and-so, and they were saying such-and-such.” He said: The face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ reddened and it was hard on him, then he said, “Leave us from you, for Mūsā was harmed more than that, then he was patient.”
