حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ

أَعْطَانِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ وَإِنَّهُ لَأَبْغَضُ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ، فَمَا زَالَ يُعْطِينِي حَتَّى صَارَ وَإِنَّهُ لَأَحَبُّ النَّاسِ إِلَيَّ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave me gifts on the day of Hunayn, and he was then the most hateful of people to me. He kept giving me until he became the most beloved of people to me.
