حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَيَّانَ وَإِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ

لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنَا فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِنَا، وَإِنَّ أَحَدَنَا لَيَضَعُ يَدَهُ عَلَى رَأْسِهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ الْحَرِّ، وَمَا فِي الْقَوْمِ صَائِمٌ إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَوَاحَةَ،

Translation

✧ We saw ourselves on one of our journeys while one of us would place his hand on his head due to the severity of the heat, and there was no one among the people fasting except the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and 'Abd Allah b. Rawahah.
