حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَهْمِ قَالَ

دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ عَلَى فَاطِمَةَ بِنْتِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ: فَقَالَتْ: طَلَّقَنِي زَوْجِي، فَلَمْ يَجْعَلْ لِي سُكْنَى وَلَا نَفَقَةً. قَالَتْ: وَوَضَعَ لِي عَشَرَةَ أَقْفِزَةٍ عِنْدَ ابْنِ عَمٍّ لَهُ: خَمْسَةٌ شَعِيرٌ، وَخَمْسَةٌ تَمْرٌ. قَالَتْ: فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقُلْتُ ذَاكَ لَهُ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ: صَدَقَ. فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَعْتَدَّ فِي بَيْتِ فُلَانٍ. قَالَ: وَكَانَ طَلَّقَهَا طَلَاقًا بَائِنًا

Translation

✧ I and Abu Salamah entered upon Fatimah bint Qays. She said: My husband divorced me and did not grant me housing or maintenance. She said: He set aside for me ten measures with a cousin of his: five of barley and five of dates. She said: I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and told him that. He said: “He has spoken the truth.” He commanded me to observe my waiting period in the house of so-and-so. He said: He had divorced her with an irrevocable divorce.
