✧ That the Prophet ﷺ came one day in haste, ascended the pulpit, and it was called out among the people: “The prayer is to be gathered.” The people gathered, and he said: “O people, I have not called you out of desire that has descended or fear, but Tamim al-Dari informed me that some people from Palestine rode the sea, and the wind cast them onto an island among the islands of the sea, and there they came upon a hairy beast whose male or female could not be discerned due to the abundance of its hair. They said, ‘Who are you?’ It said, ‘I am al-Jassasah.’ They said, ‘Then inform us.’ It said, ‘I am not going to inform you, nor ask you, but in this monastery there is a man who is eager to inform you and ask you.’ They entered the monastery, and there was a blind man shackled in iron. He said, ‘Who are you?’ We said, ‘We are Arabs.’ He said, ‘Has the Prophet been sent among you?’ We said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘Have the Arabs followed him?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘That is better for them.’ He said, ‘What has Persia done? Has he appeared over it?’ They said, ‘He has not yet appeared over it.’ He said, ‘Indeed, he will appear over it.’ Then he said, ‘What has the spring of Zughar done?’ They said, ‘It flows copiously full.’ He said, ‘What has the Lake of Tiberias done?’ They said, ‘It flows copiously full.’ He said, ‘What have the palm trees of Baysan done? Have they borne fruit yet?’ They said, ‘The first of them have borne fruit.’ He said, and he leapt a leap such that we thought he would escape, so we said, ‘Who are you?’ He said, ‘I am the Dajjal. Indeed, I will tread the entire earth except Makkah and Taybah.’ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Rejoice, assembly of Muslims, for this is Taybah; the Dajjal will not enter it.’”
