حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ وَيُونُسَ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا سُرَّ اسْتَنَارَ وَجْهُهُ حَتَّى كَأَنَّ وَجْهَهُ شِقَّةُ قَمَرٍ، فَكُنَّا نَعْرِفُ ذَلِكَ فِيهِ.

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he was pleased, his face would shine until it was as if his face were a piece of the moon, and we would recognize that in him.
