✧ While the Messenger of God ﷺ was taking a midday nap in my house, he woke up laughing. I said, “May my father and mother be your ransom, what makes you laugh?” He said, “People of my community were shown to me riding on the surface of this sea like kings on thrones.” I said, “Pray to God to make me one of them.” He said, “O God, make her one of them.” Then he slept again and woke up laughing. I said, “May my father and mother be your ransom, what makes you laugh?” He said, “People of my community were shown to me riding this sea like kings on thrones.” I said, “Pray to God to make me one of them.” He said, “You are among the first ones.” Then she went on a campaign with ʿUbādah b. al-Ṣāmit—who was her husband—and a gray mule of hers threw her off, so she fell and died.
