حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي الرُّبَيِّعُ بِنْتُ مُعَوِّذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ قَالَتْ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَأْتِينَا فَيُكْثِرُ، فَأَتَانَا فَوَضَعْنَا لَهُ الْمِيضَأَةَ فَتَوَضَّأَ، فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا وَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً. وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا [ثَلَاثًا]. وَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ بِمَا بَقِيَ مِنْ وَضُوئِهِ فِي يَدَيْهِ مَرَّتَيْنِ، بَدَأَ بِمُؤَخَّرِهِ، ثُمَّ رَدَّ يَدَهُ إِلَى نَاصِيَتِهِ. وَغَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَسَحَ أُذُنَيْهِ مُقَدَّمَهُمَا وَمُؤَخَّرَهُمَا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to come to us often. He came to us, and we placed for him the washing vessel, so he performed ablution. He washed his palms three times, rinsed his mouth and sniffed water once each. He washed his face three times and his arms three times [three times]. He wiped his head with what remained of his ablution water on his hands twice, starting with the back of his head, then returned his hand to his forelock. He washed his feet three times and wiped his ears, their front and back.
