حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ
سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ بِاللَّيْلِ وَقِرَاءَتِهِ، قَالَتْ: مَا لَكُمْ وَلِصَلَاتِهِ، وَلِقِرَاءَتِهِ ! قَدْ كَانَ يُصَلِّي قَدْرَ مَا يَنَامُ، وَيَنَامُ قَدْرَ مَا يُصَلِّي، [وَيُصَلِّي قَدْرَ مَا يَنَامُ]. وَإِذَا هِيَ تَنْعَتُ قِرَاءَتَهُ، فَإِذَا قِرَاءَةٌ مُفَسَّرَةٌ حَرْفًا حَرْفًا

✧ About the night prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his recitation, she (Aisha) said, "What is wrong with you concerning his prayer and his recitation? He used to pray as much as he slept, and he used to sleep as much as he prayed. And when he recited, his recitation was distinct, word by word."
