✧ There will be rulers whom you will recognize and disapprove of. Whoever rejects has absolved himself, and whoever hates has remained safe. But whoever is pleased and follows. They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, shall we not fight them?' He said: 'No, as long as they pray the five prayers for you.'

machine translationHishām b. Ḥassān narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Mukhallad b. al-Ḥusayn narrated it from Hishām, from al-Ḥasan, from his mother, from Umm Salamah; Abū Nuʿaym al-Ḥalabī said this from him. Yaḥyā al-Qaṭṭān, Muʿtamir, Ḥammād b. ʿĪsā, Murajjā b. Rajāʾ, ʿĪsā b. Yūnus, Suwayd b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz and ʿAbdullāh b. Bakr al-Sahmī differed from him, and narrated it from Hishām, from al-Ḥasan, from Ḍabbah b. Miḥṣan, from Umm Salamah, and this is the correct version.
