✧ Safiyyah sent to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ food that she had prepared for him while he was with me. When I saw the servant girl, a trembling seized me until I shook violently, so I struck the bowl and threw it. She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked at me and I recognized anger in his face, so I said: I seek refuge with the Messenger of Allah from his cursing me today! She said: He said: It is not so. She said: I said: What is its expiation, O Messenger of Allah? He said: Food like her food and a vessel like her vessel. [My father said: Sufyan says: A bowl like it.
