حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي وَائِلُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَهِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

مَا بَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ زَيْدَ بْنَ حَارِثَةَ فِي جَيْشٍ قَطُّ إِلَّا أَمَّرَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَلَوْ بَقِيَ بَعْدَهُ اسْتَخْلَفَهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  4. ʿĀʾishah

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ never sent Zayd b. Harithah in an army except that he appointed him as their commander. Had he remained after him, he would have appointed him as his successor.
